Denny’s Participates in 2016 Corporate Equality Index

Company Recognized by Human Rights Campaign Foundation on LGBT Workplace Equality

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Nov. 20, 2015 // GLOBE NEWSWIRE // - Denny's Corporation (NASDAQ:DENN), America's iconic family diner, participated in the 2016 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices relating to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) workplace equality, administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. Denny's score of 75 reflects the Company's commitment to LGBT workplace equality, with respect to tangible policies, benefits, and practices.

Through its guiding principle of Embrace Openness, the Company has become known for its accepting and supportive culture. As a largely franchised company, Denny's diversity also extends to its franchise restaurants which are 45 percent minority-owned, including the Company's largest individually-owned franchisee who is a member of the LGBT community.

The 2016 CEI rated a total of 1,027 businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBT-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBT community.
