Gigi's Cupcakes of Nashville, Home of the Original Gigi's Cupcakes, Undergoes a Makeover Just in Time to Offer New Products for the Holidays

The retail location now has a fresh new look and product line, making it one of the most advanced Gigi's retail locations in the country.

This Gigi's location will now offer new menu items like breakfast quiche, muffins and Gigi's new ice cream line that features four proprietary cupcake flavors like Red Velvet, Midnight Magic and Wedding Cake. Gigi's signature frosting and pieces of her gourmet cupcakes will be mixed into the ice cream, served in waffle cones, and will soon be sold in take-home quarts. The local store will also provide Gigi's cheesecakes with 6-10 rotating flavors such as Classic, Turtle and the new Mocha holiday flavor featured during the month of December.

The advanced bakery prototype features upgrades such as refrigerated bakery cases, high-definition electronic menu boards and a larger seating capacity.

Because Christmas is Gigi's favorite time of year, Gigi's Cupcakes of Nashville will also offer a Gigi's Holiday Gift Box that can be shipped anywhere in the country. The gift box will include a 9 oz. bag of Gigi's Peppermint Bark, two freshly baked loaves of bread with flavors such as Pumpkin White Chocolate and Banana Nut Chocolate and two dozen of Gigi's homemade Ginger Snap Star Cookies. Gigi Butler moved to Nashville in 1994 from California to pursue a career in music. At 15 years old, Gigi started Gigi's Cleaning Company and continued that business once she arrived in Nashville. For fourteen years, Gigi supported her dream by cleaning houses during the day and singing late nights at the honky tonks on Broadway. While she loved music, she also had a passion for the culinary arts and baking. As years went by, she decided to take a chance on baking. She took a huge risk by opening a cupcake boutique in a high rent area just off of Music Row on Broadway in Nashville, TN on February 21, 2008 - not far from the bars she sang at. Gigi recalls the stress she was under with only $33 left in her bank account the day she opened the store.
