Franchise owners Daniel and Nancy Goldstein, along with General Manager David Lopez, held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, March 9 to Sunday, March 13 to support 3Strands Global.
The new restaurant, located at 703 E. Bidwell Street, circulated 12,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $2 contribution to 3Strands Global.
“It has been a lifelong dream to own a sandwich shop,” said Daniel Goldstein. “I was initially attracted to Jersey Mike’s because of the food and the atmosphere. One of the first Jersey Mike’s stores I went into, I could tell the staff was happy working there. I enjoy the friendly banter that takes place between the employees behind the line with the customers.”
When Daniel was asked what his favorite sub was, he couldn’t decide on just one. He has three top favorites: the #20 Grilled Pastrami Reuben, #13 The Original Italian, and #10 Tuna. His wife Nancy likes the #6 Famous Roast Beef & Provolone and the #7 Turkey Breast & Provolone.
“For this grand opening, we are helping raise funds for 3Strands Global,” said Daniel. “This is a very passionate charity group and we are proud to be supporting them. If you haven’t donated to 3Strands Global in the past, now is the perfect time.”
