Chesapeake Huddle House Announces VIP-filled Grand Opening Celebration
Mayor to join franchisee David Worthley during May 11 festivities for iconic 24-hour family restaurant
May 02, 2016 // Franchising.com // CHESAPEAKE, VA. – Chesapeake Mayor Alan Krasnoff along with other civic and business leaders will join franchise owner David Worthley on May 11 for a Grand Opening event to celebrate the community’s new Huddle House restaurant at 473 Kempsville Road.
Known for serving “Any Meal, Any Time,” Huddle House serves breakfast, lunch and dinner all day. The menu offers a mix of Southern inspired comfort food, including signature Big House breakfasts, crispy hash browns, creamy grits, golden waffles and fluffy omelets, all made to order. Other favorites include Big Bold Burgers, Big House sandwich platters, country fried steak with green beans and marinated grilled chicken with sweet potato fries.
This is Worthley’s second Huddle House restaurant. After the successful launch of a location in Virginia Beach, he began searching for opportunities to expand his business into new markets and he found that opportunity in Chesapeake. He expects the new restaurant to play an important role in the community.
“Virginia Beach very quickly embraced our Southern style breakfast, lunch and dinner menu as well as our hospitality, and has turned Huddle House into one of the most popular gathering spots in the community,” Worthley said. “I am expecting the same to happen in Chesapeake.”
Worthley, a former FBI Special Agent and president of a technology company, operates both locations with his daughter and son-in-law, Megan and Michael Daubert.
“As we continue to expand our presence across the country, we recognize that it is great entrepreneurs like David and his family with a passion for their communities that make our restaurants so successful,” said Huddle House CEO Michael Abt.
