Jersey Mike's Subs Opens First Salt Lake City Location
May 16, 2016 // Franchising.com // Salt Lake City, UT - Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, opened in Salt Lake City on May 11. Franchise owners Jonathan Clegg, Russell Lee, and Marian Clegg held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, May 11 to Sunday, May 15 to support The Fisher House.
The new restaurant, located at 1400 South Foothill Drive, circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $2 contribution to The Fisher House.
“We are excited to open our first store in Salt Lake City,” said Jonathan Clegg. “This is a great community and our store is very close to the University of Utah.”
Clegg has always wanted to open a franchise store. It was his uncle in Colorado who informed him about the authentic fresh-sliced, premium quality Jersey Mike’s experience. Prior to becoming a franchisee, Clegg was in corporate sales and has a degree in aviation. Clegg’s favorite subs are the #9 Club Supreme and the #13 The Original Italian.
“For our first store opening, we have partnered up with Fisher House,” said Clegg. “This is a great charity that offers military families a place to stay while their loved ones undergo medical treatment. We look forward to seeing everyone at the grand opening to support a great cause.”
