Tony Roma’s Continues Middle East Growth with New Dubai Restaurant

New Location Strengthens Tony Roma’s Presence in the United Arab Emirates

June 16, 2016 // Franchising.com // ORLANDO, Fla. – Romacorp, Inc., parent company of Tony Roma’s, announces the grand opening of its newest restaurant in Dubai, a global city recognized as the entertainment, cultural, and business hub of the Middle East. This is the fourth restaurant for Romacorp’s franchisee, International Trading Franchises, LLC, which operates three existing Tony Roma’s in Dubai and will be opening its fifth location in Abu Dhabi in the coming weeks.

“The Tony Roma’s brand has been a huge success in the United Arab Emirates since the first restaurant opened in Dubai in 2005, and we’re excited to continue expanding our brand even further in this key market,” said Stephen K. Judge, President and Chief Executive Officer of Romacorp, Inc. “We’re pleased to see the success of Hadi Al Hakim and his team; he has been a strong ambassador for our brand and continues to bring a world-class dining experience to our fans in the UAE.”

The 2,820 square foot restaurant is located at Arabian Center, one of Dubai’s premium malls in the midst of Mirdif, a residential area in Dubai with mostly high-end, gated communities and villas. The restaurant seats 100 people and features three TVs. The existing Tony Roma’s restaurants in Dubai are located at Wasl Vita Mall, IBN Battuta Mall, and Sahara Tower on Sheikh Zayed Road.
