Franchise owner Bryan Price, along with operating partners Tyler Freese and Kara Blue, and marketing director Nadine Smith held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, July 13 to Sunday, July 24 to support Veterans Memorial Center, Inc.
The new restaurant, located at 700 E. Merritt Island Causeway, circulated 7,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $2 donation to Veterans Memorial Center, Inc.
“Continuing to develop the Jersey Mike’s brand within the Merritt Island community has been a goal of mine since I opened my first store back in 2010. It’s taken a little longer than I initially thought, but the vision of being able to enter a new market and continue the Jersey Mike's tradition is finally coming to life,” said Price.
“With each new store we are able to partner with a local organization and we are thrilled to partner with The Veterans Memorial Center located in Merritt Island. The center was chartered in 1991 and today includes a museum, media center, and a large outdoor space which displays a Vietnam era Huey helicopter. Inside there is also a Disabled American Veterans Office which provides free professional assistance to Veterans and their families. Through this grand opening fundraiser, we will be raising money for the center which is in the process of building a new museum, retrofitting the existing building and providing additional jobs for veterans. It's an honor and a privilege to work with them during our grand opening,” he said.
