Cold Brew Coffee to be Served at Dunkin’ Donuts Restaurants Nationwide Beginning August 1

Dunkin’ Donuts’ new ultra-smooth, full-bodied Cold Brew is craft-brewed daily in small batches.

July 27, 2016 // Franchising.com // CANTON, MA - Dunkin’ Donuts guests can soon enjoy a cold new coffee experience, as beginning Monday, August 1, Cold Brew coffee will be available at participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants nationwide. Dunkin’ Donuts’ Cold Brew coffee is prepared by steeping a special blend of coffee in cold water over an extended period of time to extract a uniquely distinctive flavor from the beans. The longer brewing process provides a rich, smooth coffee with an inherently sweeter flavor reminiscent of dark chocolate. Cold Brew offers another exciting choice for those who prefer their coffee cold, along with the brand’s signature iced coffee.

Launched first in the Metro New York and California markets earlier this summer, Cold Brew coffee is crafted by hand in Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in small batches and served each day while supplies last. The ultra-smooth and naturally sweet flavor profile lends itself to being enjoyed black, but is customizable based on guest preference. Dunkin’ Donuts’ Cold Brew coffee will be available in small (16 oz), medium (24 oz) and large (32 oz) cup sizes.

According to The NPD Group / CREST®, Dunkin’ Donuts is the number one retailer in the iced coffee category in the United States. The introduction of Cold Brew is the latest in a series of extensions to the brand’s coffee offerings. Last fall, Dunkin’ Donuts introduced the Macchiato to its line of espresso-based beverages and Dark Roast Coffee in 2014. Dunkin’ Donuts also offers eight everyday coffee flavors, as well as new Almond Joy and Heath flavors, available for a limited time this summer.
