Owensboro Residents Bringing Any Meal Any Time To Their Hometown
August 31, 2016 // Franchising.com // ATLANTA – Four years and three franchises later, Brandon Standiford and his father-in-law, Terry Wingfield, are bringing the iconic 24-hour restaurant Huddle House to their hometown of Owensboro, Kentucky. The restaurant will open early next year at 3248 Mount Moriah Drive.
Standiford, who lives in Owensboro with his wife, Kristy, and 3-year-old son, Lincoln, owns Huddle House restaurants in Central City, Scottsville, and Leitchfield, Kentucky.
“Owensboro kept calling and we finally answered,” Standiford said. “This will be a great opportunity to be able to serve my community while continuing to grow within the Huddle House system, and I’m looking forward to giving back to Owensboro in the best way I know how.”
A former teacher and head football coach who wanted a way to spend more quality time with his family, Standiford opened his first restaurant in 2012 in Central City and has opened a new location each year since.
This is not the first time Standiford and Wingfield have partnered in business. Wingfield, a 30-year veteran of the hotel industry, and Standiford recently acquired the Country Inn and Suites in Owensboro and are in the process of making it the fourth Wingfield Inn and Suites Hotel in Kentucky.
“There is something really special about opening a business in your own community,” said Christina Chambers, Vice President of Franchise Development for Huddle House. “Brandon has a strong record of success in his other markets and we expect a tremendous response in his own hometown.”
