REDDING, CALIFORNIA (PRWEB) September 06, 2016 - Black Bear Diner, the rapidly expanding family dining concept headquartered in Redding, California, announced today the addition of human resources and restaurant industry veteran Teresa Donich vice president of human resources. Donich, formerly director of human resources for Strategic Restaurants Acquisition Corp., brings more than 20 years of human resources experience. She is charged with leading Black Bear Diner’s strategic human resource planning as the concept expands nationally.

“As a growing brand with an expanding infrastructure, we are committed to bringing on the right talent to help us grow,” said Bruce Dean, CEO and co-founder of Black Bear Diner. “We are confident Teresa will help drive our vision as a talent-rich company in her new role. We’re excited to have her join the Black Bear Diner family.”

Donich will oversee more than 2,000 current Black Bear Diner corporate employees across the brand’s corporate headquarters and 23 corporate diners. She will also serve in an advisory capacity to the brand’s franchise owners.

“In meeting with several executives and employees at Black Bear Diner, I recognized immediately that Black Bear Diner shared a people-first philosophy,” said Donich. “I’m proud to join a brand that embraces that philosophy and recognizes that it’s an important part of organizational success. I look forward to helping Black Bear Diner cultivate and recruit even more great talent.”

Black Bear Diner is on track to open up 14 new units in 2016; more than 20 units are already in the pipeline for 2017. The brand has a goal of 100 units by 2018, with an eye towards eastward expansion.
