Scooter’s Coffee Adds Eighth Location to Des Moines Metro Area

National Coffee Franchise Opens at 99 University Avenue

[start[Des Moines, IA – Scooter’s Coffee, the Midwest-based coffee franchise that saw a record-breaking year in 2015, will add its eighth location to the Des Moines metro area with the company’s latest Grand Opening at 99 University Avenue on Friday, October 14. To celebrate the opening, the new specialty coffee drive-thru will offer $1 medium drinks all day. 

“The Des Moines market is an extremely important area of focus for Scooter’s within our national expansion plan,” stated Rob Streett, Scooter’s President and Chief Operating Officer. “With such close proximity to our headquarters in Omaha, it is our hope that the more residents learn about the brand, the more they will embrace us as their hometown coffee of choice.”

On October 14, Grand Opening Day, customers can also expect to receive several fun giveaways; beginning at 9 a.m., the first 100 customers will receive a t-shirt or coffee mug. For the afternoon crowd, starting at 2 p.m., the first 100 customers will receive a $5 gift card.

The location will also treat customers to a Week of Specials following the Grand Opening Celebration. The week of specials is as follows:

• Monday, October 17 - $1 Any Size Caramelicious
• Tuesday, October 18 - $1 Any Size Mocha or White Mocha
• Wednesday, October 19 - $1 Small Fruit Smoothies (Excludes Vertigo Smoothies)
• Thursday, October 20 - $1 Small Candy Bar Drinks
• Friday, October 21 - Half Off Any Drink (Excludes Vertigo Smoothies)

Owners Mike Armour and Jason Sullivan recently opened a downtown location in the Skywalk Partnership Building.
