Dan Murphy Announces Retirement from The Growth Coach

CINCINNATI, OH (PRWEB) November 10, 2016 - Dan Murphy, Co-Founder and CEO of The Growth Coach Franchise System, has announced that he’s retiring as CEO from The Growth Coach in order to dedicate additional time and energy to his new venture and encore career, Franchise Funding Group (FFG). The retirement will be effective December 1, 2016.

Murphy quietly co-founded, launched and built Franchise Funding Group in late 2014, along with his business partner Gary Green, after Murphy’s 25 years of business coaching and 14 years of franchising. As the president of Franchising Funding Group, Murphy worked on a part-time basis to build the firm into a credible investment company. The mission of Franchise Funding Group is to help entrepreneurs scale their existing and profitable businesses on a national basis through the franchising model.

“I co-founded Franchise Funding Group because, beyond coaching entrepreneurs, I wanted to invest in them, strategically guide them and make a difference on a larger scale. Like many of the franchise owners drawn to The Growth Coach, I too was ready for a new and challenging encore career. I was ready to tackle a new challenge outside my comfort zone that enabled me to give back and invest in the dreams of others while providing me a chance to grow and learn,” Murphy said.

Franchise Funding Group is an investment and franchise-development company comprised of a group of investors and strategic partners helping entrepreneurs take their existing and profitable business concepts and scale them nationally as franchise systems. They also work with small existing franchise systems to help them accelerate their growth. Franchise Funding Group partnered with their first company – Pet Wants – in March of 2015, and by October of 2016, the company had already sold 60 franchise units.

“Pet Wants has been such an investment success that we’ve received national press and hundreds of additional applications for funding and support. In fact, we are finalizing our next deal with a dog training company. Even with all that, deciding to retire from The Growth Coach was still an incredibly hard decision for me, but I knew it was time to give my full attention to Franchise Funding Group and help entrepreneurs get their dreams of franchising off the ground. And besides, Growth Coach has never been in better hands than with our president, Ray Fabik, and his support team. It’s in his heart and soul and I know he will take the system to greater heights,” Murphy said.

Murphy started his career as a CPA with Deloitte & Touche in 1985. In 1992, he left to start his own business coaching company, the predecessor to The Growth Coach, which he started franchising in 2002. Growth Coach is now in 16 countries and serving thousands of clients a year. After his retirement, Murphy will continue to serve on The Growth Coach’s Board of Directors and be involved in the company as a co-founder and a mentor. There are no plans to replace Dan with a new CEO.

“We are all excited for Dan and this new chapter in his business and personal life. Dan’s legacy is woven into the fabric of The Growth Coach and we work daily to build upon his vision of supporting business owners around the world. Since Franchise Funding Group is located in the same building as Growth Coach, he and I will continue to bounce things off of each other,” Growth Coach President Ray Fabik said.

The Growth Coach is the largest provider of affordable group coaching workshops in the nation, but coaches also offer one-to-one coaching services, remote coaching delivered via phone and web, and coaching for special projects as well as alternative financing, business valuation services, sales mapping and more. Clients include business owners and CEO’s, management teams, sales teams and self-employed professionals among others.

Franchise Funding Group is not a group of consultants; they serve as investors and strategic partners – like Shark Tank, but focused only on franchise-worthy businesses. Franchise Funding Group and their investment companies have already been written up in Entrepreneur Magazine, Franchise Times, 1851 Franchise Magazine, and Yahoo Finance to mention a few.
