Tint World® Opens Second Maryland Store
National Automotive Styling Centers™ Franchise Opens New Owings Mills Location
November 29, 2016 // Franchising.com // BOCA RATON, Fla. – Tint World® Automotive Styling Centers™, a leading auto accessory and window tinting franchise, has opened a new location in Owings Mills, Maryland. Owned and operated by Stephen Leacock, the new store is the second Tint World® to open in Maryland and will provide residents with a variety of services, including vehicle customization, residential and commercial window film, and marine upgrades and styling.
“Stephen is my kind of businessman,” said Charles J. Bonfiglio, CEO of Tint World®. “He understands what we’re about and he has really bought into the philosophy. He’s got the kind of passion and excitement that you want to see in an owner. He has big plans and considering his previous business success, I have no doubt he’ll help make Tint World® a big name for our customers in the Baltimore area.”
Leacock has worked and owned a facilities support business since 2000, and is a self-proclaimed car fanatic.
“I love cars and I’ve always been interested in doing something similar to this,” said Leacock. “I was also looking to position myself for the next phase of life. I had never been much on franchising, but after being initially impressed while doing my research, we setup a Tint World® Franchise Discovery Day in Florida and I had the opportunity to sit down and talk with Charles – that really sealed the deal for me. I was impressed with his background and success, and his vision for the future. He has really surrounded himself with all the right pieces. You’ve got this great CEO who has handpicked guys that understand the philosophy of a franchise and how it works. They all have a specific expertise that they bring to create a total package. I really believe if you follow the process, utilize the support, and obviously put in the hard work, you can be wildly successful.”
Leacock was introduced to Tint World® by Darryl Quillens, who is handling the automobile detailing and car washing at the new store.
“Darryl and his father owned a detail shop in the city for more than 20 years,” said Leacock. “My best friend, Wayne Davis, had been talking with Darryl and knew how much interest he had in Tint World®, but it just never materialized. I actually met Darryl back in high school, and so we talked about opening a Tint World® and made it a reality.”
Ron Sanders is also joining the Owing Mills Tint World® team as director of business development. He has more than 25 years of experience in the industry and will be responsible for drumming up business for the location.
“Ron is the real deal,” said Leacock. “He knows this industry backwards and forwards, and he’s going to bring a lot to the table for our store. This is the kind of shop for everyone, whether you pull up in a mid-size sedan or a hundred thousand dollar luxury car, I promise you’ll get taken care of and feel comfortable.”
The all-new Tint World® Owings Mills store is located at 11406 Reisterstown Rd., Owings Mills, Md. 21117 and is open Monday through Saturday. For those interested in employment opportunities, specifically those with tinting experience, applications are being accepted now. To find out more, call (410) 205-7398.
