January 19, 2017 // Franchising.com // GREENVILLE, SC - Bacon Bros. Public House, a chef-driven restaurant concept specializing in locally-sourced and seasonal menus, opens its first location in Sugar Land, Texas next month located at 2110 Town Square Place.
“Our goal is to offer a quality dining experience that is also accessible,” said owner of Bacon Bros. Public House’s new Sugar Land location, Travis Cook, who plans to open an additional 8-10 locations throughout Texas in the coming years. “I am looking forward to serving up creative dishes made from local ingredients, and prepared with a delicious combination of French and new American cooking techniques.”
Prior to bringing Bacon Bros. to Sugar Land, Cook, a graduate of Texas A&M University, worked in finance. His passions, however, have always been in the culinary world. From a family of small business owners, the entrepreneurial spirit was not lost on Cook. The path to restaurant ownership was a direct result of the hard work, instilled in him by his parents. Joining him on this new venture, is local Houston chef Joseph Zerwas.
“Owning a restaurant has always been a dream of mine. I never thought I would have this opportunity so early in my career,” said Cook. “It would not have been possible without the mentorship I received from the Bacon Bros. team in South Carolina, including Jason Callaway, the Director of Operations; and Anthony Gray, the Executive Chef.”
Bacon Bros. is a farm-to-table, southern-style restaurant concept offering meat-inspired dishes. The menu is locally sourced and has a minimum of four seasonal menu changes throughout the year in addition to year-round staples - from made-daily BBQ selections to bite-sized snacks, such as Pimento Cheese with Bacon Jam, Bacon Caramel Popcorn and Potater Tots.
Additionally, the restaurant features a glass-cladded cure room providing guests with a direct view of the restaurant’s cured meats.
With plans to open three new restaurants each year over the next several years, Bacon Bros. is currently seeking both single-unit and multi-unit franchisees. With a franchise fee of $50,000, the total investment to own and operate a Bacon Bros. franchise is approximately $739,000 to $1.5 million.
