February 06, 2017 // Franchising.com // Augusta, KS – Scooter’s Coffee, LLC, the Midwest-based drive-thru coffee franchise that is on track for another record-breaking year of growth, will increase its presence in Kansas with the company’s first location in Augusta. The Grand Opening at 525 W. 7th Street (W. 7th & Lulu St.) is on Wednesday, February 8. To celebrate the opening, customers will receive several fun giveaways throughout the day. Beginning at 11 a.m., the first 100 customers will receive a $5 gift card with purchase. Later in the afternoon, starting at 4 p.m., the first 50 customers will receive a free coffee mug with purchase, and at 7 p.m., the first 50 customers will receive a free t-shirt with purchase (t-shirts only available in store interior).

“We are proud to see our brand maturing in Kansas,” said Rob Streett, President and Chief Operating Officer of Scooter’s Coffee. “We’ve seen a rise in demand for Scooter’s Coffee across the state, and Augusta is the perfect community to continue our expansion.”

Zachary Blue and Kim Braungardt will own this location. “We initially were drawn to Scooter’s Coffee by the quality of their products. From the coffee to the smoothies, everything Scooter’s serves is excellent,” said Kim. “We had the opportunity to acquire and redevelop a key piece of real estate in the heart of the Augusta commercial corridor and Scooter’s was the perfect option to add value and something new to the community, while at the same time, not hurting any of the existing family-owned businesses. When we started talking to local residents about our plans, people lit-up when we mentioned Scooter’s. We have had strong support from the local community since we opened our doors on January 11th, and we look forward to that continuing for many years to come.”

Scooter’s Coffee is quickly approaching 200 locations in 15 states. It opened 33 new locations in 2016 and plans similar expansion in 2017. The company is in the midst of a robust grand opening pipeline. It recently opened its first location in Phoenix, Arizona, added a second location to the Atlanta, Georgia, metro area and also opened its second of many locations in the state of Florida. Other expanding markets include Iowa, Kansas, Texas and Missouri.

Scooter’s Coffee, which is based in Omaha, Nebraska, handcrafts its pastries and roasts its own shade-grown coffee, sourced through the Arbor Day Foundation.
