Round Table "Clubhouse" Restaurants Expand in Pacific Northwest

CONCORD, Calif. - March 14, 2017 // PRNewswire // - Families and groups looking for a neighborhood gathering place now have a popular new destination in three more communities. Round Table Pizza opened three new "Clubhouse" restaurants in the Portland suburbs of Camas and Newberg, and in Bend. All three are experiencing the strong sales that new Clubhouse locations have enjoyed on the West Coast. "Clubhouse" is a new variation on the Round Table concept designed to appeal to a broad range of guest occasions, from adults looking for a sports bar-type environment with lots of big screen TVs and craft beers, to families with young kids flocking to the arcade, to youth sports teams or other large groups filling the large party rooms.

"It's fun to see the excitement in three more communities where we've opened Clubhouse restaurants," says Round Table Senior Vice President of Development Ted Storey. "Their success demonstrates that we're filling a need for a place where families and groups can gather for great food and drink in a comfortable, casual atmosphere."

Round Table built its nearly 60-year reputation for quality by creating unique, abundantly-topped pizzas, for dine-in, carry-out and delivery. Clubhouses expand on the traditional Round Table restaurants by offering "Pizza-Pub-Play" options, as its sign states. The Pizzas are what made Round Table famous, with a variety of flavorful toppings, dough made fresh daily and high quality cheese, proof points of their long-standing slogan "The Last Honest Pizza." The Pub refers to a bar area with lots of beers on tap and great-tasting appetizers, like their "Ulti-Wings" and sliders, and it's become a destination in the Clubhouse communities. And Play is provided by a large arcade and prize redemption area—as well as live sporting events on big screen TVs.

One feature of the Clubhouse design is the open layout, allowing parents to relax and enjoy a game on big screen TV's while their kids hit the Arcade room and play while waiting for the family pizza, wings or other menu items to be prepared. It's a formula that has proven very popular in the new Clubhouses. "We see many customers coming in two or three times in the first week of opening, and our party rooms book quickly," said Storey.

The Clubhouse has also succeeded by expanding on the popular Round Table menu of specialty pizzas to include half-pound burgers, thin-cut French fries, sliders, "Ulti-Wings" with a variety of sauces and sides, as well as appetizers and desserts.

The new Clubhouse locations are:

  • 2512 Portland Road, Newberg, OR
  • 2940 North Highway 97, Bend, OR
  • 3136 NE 3rd Ave, Camas, WA
