Jersey Mike's Subs Opens First Woods Cross Location

March 15, 2017 // Franchising.com // Woods Cross, UT - Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, opened in Woods Cross on March 8. Franchise owners Jonathan Clegg, Russell Lee, and Marian Clegg held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, March 8 to Sunday, March 12 to support Woods Cross High School and Bountiful High School.

The new restaurant, located at 618 West 2600 South, circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $2 contribution to Woods Cross High School and Bountiful High School.

“We are excited to open in Woods Cross, our second location in the area,” said Jonathan Clegg. “Mandy and I are especially excited for this store because we live in Davis County and are raising our children with your children. Woods Cross is a great family centered community and we hold it close to our hearts.”

Clegg always wanted to open a franchise store. He heard about how great Jersey Mike’s Subs are but wasn’t able to taste them because there were no franchises open in Utah. To learn more, Clegg sent his mom and his wife on a weekend trip to Las Vegas to try the food. Ever since, the Cleggs have been big fans. Clegg’s favorite subs are the #9 Club Supreme and the #13 The Original Italian.

“For our store opening, we have partnered up with Bountiful High School’s Baseball Team and Woods Cross High School’s Girls Softball Team,” said Clegg. “Each school is giving out coupons for a free sub with a minimum $2 donation to their team. We are excited to see which school raises the most! This is a great cause because the kids are the heartbeat of our community.”
