OXXO Opens two new Stores in Indonesia

November 15, 2017 // Franchising.com // Hollywood, FL - OXXO Care Cleaners®, the environmentally friendly garment cleaning franchise that was first to use Greenearth® solvents while offering 24/7 ATM-style service in a European boutique setting, today announced the opening of two new multiunit stores in Indonesia as part of its continued international expansion.

“Following two years of market development in Asia, we will open two additional OXXO stores in Makassar, the largest city in eastern Indonesia. These are the next two stores of a total of 8 now sold by Henry Soesanto, our Indonesia franchise developer,” said Salomon Mishaan, Founder & CEO, OXXO Care Cleaners.

OXXO's growth in Indonesia began in 2014 in Surabaya, the second largest city in Indonesia after Jakarta. Three centrally located stores were converted from traditional dry-cleaners using PERC into OXXO branded stores. Eighteen months later, in January 2015, OXXO opened the first store in Jakarta, the first franchised-unit outside Surabaya. The fifth store opened on May 2015 in Sidoarjo, the suburb area of Surabaya. This was followed by the launch of a drop-store in Surabaya.

Having sold 50 franchises stores to date, Salomon Mishaan, Founder & CEO, has developed a winning strategy that is now aimed at global multi-unit franchisees. At the close of 2016, OXXO committed to develop the region from Orlando to Jacksonville in the U.S. They are planning on building out twenty franchises in ten years. Prior to this, a franchisee purchased five stores in Palm Beach County.
