Hammer & Nails Breaks into Echo Park

Men’s Grooming Franchise Brings Man Cave Nirvana to Los Angeles Neighborhood

January 17, 2018 // Franchising.com // Echo Park, CA. - Hammer & Nails Grooming Shop for Guys, a men’s grooming shop that provides hand and foot care, haircuts and shaves in a man cave nirvana, is opening its first location in Echo Park, Calif. Announcing a signed lease today at 2112 Sunset Blvd, the new personal care shop is slated to open in May 2018.

The new location will be owned and operated by Queenie Flores. The Los Angeles Native was hungry for a second-act career that combines entrepreneurship with wellness which led her to opening a Hammer & Nails location in the community. Flores has an extensive career in the healthcare industry, and is skilled in integrating technology strategies with business models and leading enterprise transformation. She is excited to apply her expertise in a small business setting and provide residents of Echo Park the premier grooming services Hammer & Nails has to offer.

“As we saw with our first Los Angeles location in Melrose, demand for our services are on the rise with more men seeking out destinations for high quality grooming,” Flores said. “We hope that our services will not only help the community feel pampered, but also show why getting a manicure and pedicure is so important for both men and women.”

The Hammer & Nails experience is unlike any other in the health and wellness space. The atmosphere is low-lit, with soft ambient lighting throughout the shop. Exterior windows are tinted dark for privacy and the interior is furnished with dark wood and steel, to create a relaxing vibe from the moment you walk in. If you have an appointment (which most guests do), you’re greeted by name and escorted to a luxurious oversized Bison leather chair. You’ll be handed a menu with complimentary beverages ranging from an ice-cold water to McAllen’s whiskey, all of which is included in the service cost. Shops have Direct TV, and every guest has a personal TV, remote and noise-cancelling headphones for entertainment during his visit.

“Flores is joining our brand at a key moment of growth. Offering hand and foot care and grooming services all under one roof is sure to revolutionize personal care throughout Echo Park,” said Michael Elliot, founder of Hammer & Nails. “As the second Hammer & Nails shop in the Los Angeles area, this location will deliver our high standard of personal care to the regimens of local residents as we continue to work toward our goal of bringing 10 locations to the greater area over the next five years.”

At Hammer & Nails, the entire experience is not only the pinnacle of relaxation, but the hand and foot care also yield significant health benefits. During a visit, technicians will examine feet and hands before the services begin. Then, hands are wrapped in hot towels with essential oils. Every part of the process is about giving great service and helping make guys feel relaxed and pampered in a welcoming environment.
