BrightStar Care Announces Tynisha Mosley-Bates As 2018 Nurse Of The Year

Director of Nursing from Baltimore is Selected From Among Nominees Across the Country

At the heart of each BrightStar Care client’s personalized care plan is a passionate and dedicated nurse that oversees all aspects of their care. This award is in recognition for the unparalleled and compassionate care she provides to every client, as well as their family caregivers.

Tynisha initially joined the team at BrightStar Care of Lutherville-Timonium in 2015 as a caregiver after recently relocating to the area. Within 7 months, she became the office’s Assistant Director or Nursing, and only 18 months after that, became Director of Nursing. Tynisha was nominated by Lynn Berberich, franchise owner of BrightStar Care’s Lutherville-Timonium office. Lynn noted her compassion with patients and their families, tenacity with doctor follow-ups, and going above and beyond her duties to ensure comfort and care. Her office was awarded the BrightStar Care Clinical Excellence Award the first year she was the Director of Nursing.

Every year, BrightStar Care franchisees from across the country nominate members of their nursing staff for the Nurse of the Year award. Of the many submissions, one finalist from each region of the country are selected. In addition to Tynisha Mosley-Bates (Northeast), this year’s finalists were Jamie Stephenson from BrightStar Care West Bend, Wisconsin (Midwest), Monica Garrett-Hughes from BrightStar Care Lubbock, Texas (Southeast) and Carl A. Brown from BrightStar Care Central Western Riverside, California (West).
