With Acquisition, Pronto Insurance Will Accelerate its Expansion Plans

May 25, 2018 // Franchising.com // Brownsville, Texas based Pronto Insurance is a big player in the non-standard auto insurance market in its home state. Recently it has begun to expand outside its borders, in both Florida and California, with a special focus on serving large and growing Hispanic markets.

With the announcement this May that Arthur J. Gallagher and Co. has acquired Pronto Insurance, plans are for Pronto Insurance to more aggressively expand in existing markets and seek out other places that are home to an Hispanic target audience. Pronto’s omni-channel distribution network include corporate-owned agencies, Franchise Owners, independent agents and a direct-to-consumer e-commerce platform.

Pronto Insurance’s existing corporate leadership team will remain in place, with Joel Cavaness, President of Risk Placement Services, Inc. (RPS) acting as Managing General Agent.

“Gallagher and RPS are the right partners for us - we admire their culture and how they conduct business,” said Jorge Barcena, President and CEO of Pronto Insurance. “We now will have even more opportunities to serve even more Hispanic communities.”

“What attracted us to Pronto was their deep product expertise and data-driven marketing. Their product offerings will expand our capabilities as one of the largest Managing General Agents, said Cavaness.

The deal is expected to close in the second quarter of 2018.
