Wienerschnitzel Gears Up For “Dog Days” Of August With Two Classic Summer Treats

World’s Largest Hot Dog Chain welcomes National Root Beer Float Day and two new flavors of lemonade

August 01, 2018 // Franchising.com // IRVINE, Calif. - Wienerschnitzel once again finds itself at the center of a celebration in August thanks to the arrival of two classic summertime treats.

Less than a month after its 57th Anniversary and National Hot Dog Day, the beloved hot dog chain honors National Root Beer Float Day on Monday, Aug. 6, with the offer of a free Mug® Root Beer Float with any purchase all day on the holiday. Wienerschnitzel’s version of the famous drink dating back to 1874 is made with Mug Root Beer and Tastee-Freez® Soft Serve to pair perfectly with hot dogs.

The one-day-only offer is good while supplies last at participating Wienerschnitzel restaurants Aug. 6 only. Guests need to show a printed or digital coupon available at www.wienerschnitzel.com to receive the free float.

“We’re proud to be one of the few restaurants that continues the tradition of everyone’s-favorite Root Beer Float,” said Doug Koegeboehn, Wienerschnitzel’s chief marketing officer. “Nothing’s better on a hot day than our Tastee Freez Soft Serve topped with Mug Root Beer.”

August also marks the nationwide debut of Wienerschnitzel’s two new lemonade flavors in Pineapple and Strawberry Pineapple to join its popular Strawberry Lemonade. Each is made with Tropicana® Lemonade and mixed with fresh fruit.

“Our Strawberry Lemonade is easily one of the best-sellers on our summer menu, so it made sense to expand our thirst-quenching options as we head into the hottest months of the year,” said J.R. Galardi, president of Wienerschnitzel.

The Pineapple and Strawberry Pineapple lemonades arrive at participating Wienerschnitzels nationwide this week.
