Mr. Electric Community Involvement

DURHAM, N.C. - Sept. 11, 2018 // PRNewswire // - There aren't many places in today's world that offer ongoing, unconditional care to animals in need, but that's exactly what the Goathouse Refuge does. They are a cat sanctuary, a place where cats that have been abandoned or lost can be safe and warm and happy, where cats who have had to live at the margins of the modern world can find a place where they are welcome.

After visiting the facility for a normal estimate to upgrade some of the wiring, and doing some investigating, it was apparent that there was a lot of work to be done to make the wiring usable, and safe for the animals and volunteers. After meeting the wonderful woman, Siglinda Scarpa (founder), and seeing her passion for what she does, Mr. Electric made the decision to donate both labor and material to make the shelter safe.

"Everyone is excited to donate their time, effort and energy to such a great person (Siglinda) and such a great cause," says Tim Palange, Operations Manager for Mr. Electric. "I didn't have to ask twice, even the office staff, and employee's families are getting involved."

On Saturday September 8th, Mr. Electric will be in full force at the Goathouse Animal Refuge to work together to help keep this outstanding organization fully operational and safe, so they can continue doing what they have been doing for years - giving every animal the chance a full, healthy, loving life.
