Home Helpers Home Care Recognized for Veteran Opportunities

Doubles Down on Recruitment Efforts for Vets and Service Families

CINCINNATI - Sept. 17, 2018 // PRNewswire // - Home Helpers Home Care again has been recognized for its commitment to veterans and military spouses. The International Franchise Association's (IFA) VetFran program awarded Home Helpers a Five-Star rating; its highest level.

The distinction comes on the heels of the company's announcement of a $9,380 incentive for veterans toward their initial franchise ownership fee. The incentive covers 20 percent of the new ownership fees for qualified veterans with an honorable discharge.

The "Five Star" designation is available only to a select few franchise brands. VetFran supports veterans evaluating franchise opportunities and encourages franchisors to offer incentives for those who have served. IFA and its Five-Star members are committed to veteran opportunities for success.

For Home Helpers, this is about business as much as gratitude.

"We have committed to veterans above and beyond just words of thanks," explains Emma Dickison, CEO of Home Helpers. "We say this is 'more than gratitude' because we recognize that the qualities that make outstanding military personnel also make successful owners and team members in the Home Helpers system. Their dedication and commitment to service are important characteristics of a successful owner."

Home Helpers offers veteran owners on-site training and ongoing business consulting during their first years in business to support veteran success.

The company also is expanding recruitment of spouses and family members of those on active duty through a partnership with the Department of Defense. As a member of the Military Spouse Employment Program (MSEP) Home Helpers is offering military dependents opportunities to begin and continue their careers across its network. Frequent relocations due to transfer are a significant obstacle to job security for military spouses, who experience unemployment at much higher rates than their civilian-family peers.
