Robeks Franchisee Bringing Flavor And Passion To North Florida

Proven Operator Excited to be Part of the Community

October 15, 2018 // Franchising.com // LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Hoping to bring a healthy, tasty alternative to the North Florida market, one of the Robeks Fresh Juices and Smoothies top performing Southern California operators is looking forward to relocating to the Jacksonville area.

Tariq Johnson and his wife Bridgette opened their first Robeks in Wildomar, CA at the beginning of 2017. Through a combination of solid operating practices and great product offerings, they achieved a level of success within their first year that allowed them to relocate to the east coast to be closer to Bridgette’s flourishing art business.

“I think that’s the beauty of being with an organization like Robeks,” said Johnson when questioned about the transition from coast to coast. “We knew when searching for the right franchise that we wanted something that was easy to operate. We wanted a model we wouldn’t have to struggle to get up to speed with. We definitely found that with Robeks.”

Robeks is an industry leader in innovative smoothie, juice, and bowl recipes with an emphasis on making it easy for their franchisees to step right in and feel comfortable with the operation.
Johnson remains heavily involved in the day-to-day aspects of the business, ensuring a high standard is met by his employees.

“It’s something we pride ourselves in. We want to make sure that we’re giving our customers an experience they can’t get anywhere else. We definitely created that in Wildomar and I’m excited to bring that attitude to the Jacksonville area.”

Johnson will be assuming ownership of the current Robeks store in Neptune Beach, FL. just south of Jacksonville, after finalizing the purchase in August of 2018. He also plans to expand within the region and has begun scouting real estate for more Robeks locations in the greater Jacksonville area.

Johnson is not the only one on track to open additional stores. Robeks executives confirmed there are currently 8 other franchisees with plans to open additional stores through 2019.

“It’s an exciting time for us in terms of growth” said David Rawnsley, President of Robeks Corporation.

“We’ve worked hard over the past couple years to shift our focus more towards the franchisees and create a collaborative environment. Seeing our franchisees doubling down and looking to open new stores is really fulfilling. It shows our work is making a difference.”

Robeks currently has 85 stores across the country with 5 stores under construction and they anticipate having 100 stores by the end of 2019.
