The Entrepreneur’s Source Names Marianne Daley 2018 Client of the Year

Life after Layoff: TES Coach Mark Larsen Helps Daley’s Dreams Come True

November 08, 2018 // Franchising.com // Southbury, CT - The Entrepreneur’s Source® (TES), North America’s leading alternative career coaching franchise, named Maryland-based entrepreneur Marianne Daley the 2018 recipient of their prestigious Client of the Year Award. The announcement was made at The Entrepreneur’s Source’s 19th annual conference held September 28 – 30 at the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort and Spa in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Daley is the Owner/Educational Director of Abrakadoodle of Howard County, Maryland. Abrakadoodle offers art classes, art camps, and art parties for children ages 20 months to 14 years old. As the owner of this exciting franchise, Daley doubled her programs and revenues in just one year of ownership. Daley says it’s a great feeling being in control of your own destiny. “This career change is what I was meant to do with my life. I’m a happier and healthier person and look forward to working every day!”

Daley’s e-Source coach, Mark Larsen, with The Entrepreneur’s Source, says she’s successful because the business is a great fit for her strengths and her interests.

“She was determined to demonstrate that she was going to do great things,” said Larsen. Daley had just been through a layoff after 30 years with her prior company. Larsen says Daley’s skill, along with a healthy dose of an “I’ll show them” attitude, propelled her toward resounding success.

Terry Powell, Visionary Founder and game changer of The Entrepreneur’s Source, says Daley embodies the philosophy embraced by TES and all alternative career coaches.

“Marianne Daley was employed for 35 years - now she is empowered, and there’s a big difference there,” said Powell. “With the help of her e-Source coach, she realized that self-employment through franchising was the way to move forward. After all, if you’re going to work hard to make a dream come true, make sure it’s YOUR dream you’re working on and not someone else’s!”

Along with taking on her own franchise, Daley also helps the Abrakadoodle corporate headquarters, leads a regional owners group, and still finds time to give back to her community. Daley started the Art for All program at the Homewood Center, part of the Howard County public school system. The students at Homewood Center struggle with a variety of challenges, from autism to depression and anxiety. The program was such a success, Homewood Center signed a collaborative agreement with Abrakadoodle to implement an arts education program.

Daley gives many thanks to her coach, Mark Larsen, and The Entrepreneur’s Source system.
“Mark was a phenomenal coach. He had systems and tools to help me figure out where I excelled as well as helping me decide what I DIDN’T want. He never pressured me to make a quick decision and always encouraged me to take my time,” Daley says.
