Kitchen Tune-Up Participates In Franchise-Focused Internship Program

Kitchen Tune-Up aims to teach college students the ins and outs of franchising

February 11, 2019 // Franchising.com // ABERDEEN, S.D. - As a new year begins, so does a new semester of school. However, a select group of college students from Brigham Young University will have a little more than just homework on their plates.

Kitchen Tune-Up, a national kitchen and bath remodeling company known for its signature one-day wood restoration service, is delighted to announce participation in an internship program. This semester, four Brigham Young University students from the Marriot School of Business have been selected as interns for Kitchen Tune-Up’s Home Office team. This internship program will focus heavily on teaching students about the franchising industry with the goal of inspiring and guiding intelligent, hardworking entrepreneurs of the future.

Together, these four students devote a combined 40 hours per week to Kitchen Tune-Up projects. They are a group of creative thinkers who are eager to learn about the franchise industry, while providing the Kitchen Tune-Up team with valuable assistance with social media outreach and content creation.

Bruce and Lori Morgan, Kitchen Tune-Up franchise owners in Colorado Springs are proud alumni of Brigham Young University and are ecstatic to learn that the brand has taken advantage of this opportunity with their alma mater.

“We are excited about participating in BYU’s internship program because it provides a wonderful opportunity for students to build experience, while also giving our team a chance to share our knowledge in our expertise. Kitchen Tune-Up prides itself in being a family-orientated business, so mentorship has been a focus throughout our thirty plus year history,” said Heidi Morrissey, President of Kitchen Tune-Up. “Bruce and Lori Morgan are long-time members of our franchise family. When they let us know about the opportunity to work with students at BYU, we knew it would be a great fit, and fun for our Home Office team to help students learn about franchising and entrepreneurship.. .”
