Jersey Mike's Subs Opens First Friendswood Location

Franchise owners Dalton Stewart and Dustin Shaffer held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, November 13 to Sunday, November 17 to support Hope Village.

The new restaurant, located at 1765 S Friendswood Drive, circulated 5,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $2 contribution to Hope Village.

“We are passionate about making great subs and making a positive impact on the communities we serve. For our grand opening, we have partnered up with the Hope Village,” said Stewart. “I grew up in Friendswood and Hope Village has been a fixture here since I was a kid. I have memories even as a small child of the good work that Hope Village did. When I had the opportunity to open a Jersey Mike’s in Friendswood there was no doubt what charity partner I wanted to work with.”

“After graduating from Texas A&M, I moved to the East Coast and that is where I had my first Jersey Mike’s sub,” he said. “I remember calling their corporate office the very next day and telling them I wanted to open a Jersey Mike’s in Texas. A few years later I opened the first Jersey Mike’s Texas location, in Dallas. Fast forward 18 years and now I have the honor of opening one in my hometown of Friendswood with my business partner Dustin Shaffer. We could not be more fired up and ready to be here.
