City Wide Franchise Reaches Growth Milestones
December 19, 2019 // Franchising.com // LENEXA, Kan. - City Wide, the nation’s leading management company in the building maintenance industry, is celebrating a year of reaching several growth milestones. The franchise opened seven locations this year, bringing the total to 61 locations including its first location in Canada.
To strengthen the brand’s growth efforts in 2019, Ryan Sklar joined as the Divisional Vice President of National Business Division and is leading the charge on developing relationships with national companies. City Wide also continued its advancement on the Franchise Times Top 200+ list while maintaining its recognition on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies for the second consecutive year. In addition to the growth, the company is projecting more than $300,000,000 in system-wide revenue in 2019, a 20% increase from last year.
“When taking a moment to reflect on the past year, I am proud of what the City Wide brand achieved,” said Jeff Oddo, president of City Wide Maintenance and Franchise. “From our first location in Canada, which is an initiative we set at the end of 2018, to putting an emphasis on growing the national businesses we work with, it took a lot of hard work from both the Home Office and our franchise locations. We’re happy to see what City Wide stands for continues to resonate with our clients, and pushes us to the forefront of the building management industry.”
Following this year’s growth, City Wide will enter 2020 with openings in three new locations - Washington D.C., Westchester, N.Y. and Pittsburgh, Pa. These locations are scheduled to open in the first two months of the year. Additionally, to accommodate the brand’s growth over the past several years, the City Wide Home Office has broken ground on its new headquarters which are double the size of its current headquarters. The official move to the brand new facility is planned for mid-2020.
City Wide has made a name for itself in major U.S. cities by streamlining commercial facilities and maintenance management of more than 20-plus interior and exterior services including janitorial, handyman services and parking lot maintenance. Taking the onus from building owners and property management businesses that typically have to choose separate companies for each task, City Wide eases the selection and management processes for its clients.
