Office Evolution Enters Wisconsin Market

Nation’s largest coworking franchisor continues Midwest expansion signs deal for two locations in Madison.

March 13, 2020 // // Louisville, Colo. - Following its fourth consecutive year being ranked in Entrepreneur Magazine’s Franchise 500 listing, Office Evolution, the nation’s largest coworking franchisor has signed a development deal for two locations in Madison, Wisconsin. This is part of a larger Midwest expansion plan for Office Evolution, as the brand also recently announced plans to open a location in Troy, Michigan.

The new Office Evolution locations will be owned and operated by husband-and-wife duo Keith and Rhonda Kometer. Though addresses have yet to be announced, the Kometers are eyeing sites in the Madison area as potential destinations for their first location, which they hope to open in the spring of 2021. Keith has spent the last 25 years in the management and marketing fields. He currently works as an independent business consultant, where he helps build businesses and create value by defining and delivering innovative solutions to clients.

Office Evolution, with 68 locations open and nearly 80 in various stages of development, is the largest coworking franchise and the fourth largest network in the U.S. The model is based on local owners who are committed to serving their community, and is backed by the resources and distribution of a national brand. This sort of model is unique to the category. With more than 24 million non-employer businesses in the U.S. and more than 3.5 million U.S. businesses with four employees or less, demand for shared office space is high.

“We are continuing to expand into new markets while further developing current areas we have a presence in thanks to passionate franchisees like Keith and Rhonda,” stated Mark Hemmeter, founder and CEO of Office Evolution. “We have built an industry leading concept by partnering with knowledgeable and dedicated partners who understand the value our concept brings to independent employers and small businesses. I am confident that Keith and Rhonda will be great assets to the Madison-area small businesses and we are looking forward to seeing the positive impact they will have on the local community.”

With dedicated work spaces, including private offices, conference rooms and shared workspace, Office Evolution has solutions for every business. There are also phone-answering services, address & mail services and other professional capabilities to help each small-business owner exceed their goals.

“It is always fulfilling to see our concept enter a new market,” Office Evolution COO and Global Workspace Association Board Member William Edmundson said. “Keith’s experience as a self-employed entrepreneur will greatly aid him and Rhonda in the operation of their Office Evolution location because he knows firsthand what small businesses and independent employers need to elevate their operations and exceed their dreams.”
