Custom-built Bar Sets New Rusty Taco Apart in Scottsdale, Arizona

September 18, 2020 // Franchising.com // For franchisees Daniel Fanelli, Gene Storms and Jake Storms of the Sonoran Restaurant Group, opening their second Rusty Taco location in Arizona was all about bringing the brand’s fresh, made-in-house menu offerings to Scottsdale as part of the Talking Stick Entertainment District. Just one year after opening their first location in Gilbert, Arizona, the trio built a custom, full-service bar unique to Scottsdale, ensuring the new Rusty Taco is the perfect place for an afternoon hangout or a late-night drink.

“For our second location, our team wanted to add something special to the guest experience,” Fanelli said. “We worked closely as a team to create a one-of-a-kind cocktail program, inspired by the flavor and ingredients we fell in love with on our first trip to Rusty Taco.”

The Scottsdale Rusty Taco offers a selection of six hand-made margaritas with fresh lime juice and seven premium craft cocktails created specifically to pair with the menu. Led by the signature Rusty Taco margarita, Rusty Taco also offers Strawberry, Mango, Prickly Pear, Peach and Watermelon Jalapeño margarita options, served on the rocks or frozen. The premium cocktail menu includes a variety of options including the Canchanchara, featuring El Dorado 15-year rum, lime juice, honey and a splash of soda; a Jalisco Old Fashioned, featuring Hornitos Black Barrel, Angostura aromatic bitters, Fee Brothers black walnut bitters, agave syrup and orange peel; The #9, featuring Cazadores silver tequila, ginger beer, lime juice, muddled pineapple and jalapeño and a host of other high-quality options.
