Over $376,000.00 raised by The Human Bean’s 15th Annual Coffee for a Cure
October 29, 2020 // Franchising.com // The Human Bean held its annual breast cancer fundraising event, Coffee for a Cure, on Friday, October 23rd. Sales from beverage and food items were donated on this day, from all locations throughout the United States, to local hospitals and treatment centers. CEO Dan Hawkins said, “Coffee for a Cure is a very special event for us, and it is amazing that with our customers and communities we are able to make such a difference in the care and fight against breast cancer.”
This year The Human Bean and their franchisees raised a total of $376,387.29 to bring the total donation, over the last 15 years, to over $2.2 million dollars.
We work directly with foundations that are local to each of our drive-thru locations. They help with preventive scans for early detection, as well as education, and support patients with expenses while going through treatment. The donated funds are allocated to the patients who need financial help the most. Since starting Coffee for a Cure, fifteen years ago, we have lost a barista, a franchise owner, family, and friends to breast cancer.
