Edible® Introduces Edible Music™

New licensing platform launching this holiday season allows customers to purchase music albums through Edible online

November 11, 2020 // Franchising.com // ATLANTA - Edible®, the world’s largest franchisor of fresh fruit arrangements and other treats, is further expanding and innovating by adding a music category to its portfolio with the launch of Edible Music™.

Edible Music is the first of many subcategories within Edible Brands’ new licensing business. Edible Music launched as an integral piece of the company's mission to "WOW" customers with a one-stop-shop gifting experience, especially for momentous occasions like the holidays. Edible partnered with well-known music companies UMe, a division of Universal Music Group, Studio Caffe and Bertelsmann Music Group and created several digital music bundles for the upcoming holidays.

“We experienced a wildly successful test of incorporating music into our signature gifts and treats when we produced (in partnership with Studio Caffe) and distributed an original album, Songs for Mom, for Mother’s Day,” said Patricia Perry, Edible’s vice president of development. “The positive reception of this Mother’s Day album encouraged us to further stake our place in this category, and officially launching this new product line in time for the holidays just made sense. Music will become an ongoing part of our brand going forward, and we are excited about the future of the category.”

Five different holiday music albums are now available for purchase and digital download through edible.com. Customers have the option of purchasing one of 12 product bundles that include a holiday album, or they can purchase them individually as an add-on to any of Edible’s delicious products for just $14.99 per album.

Among the Edible Music holiday albums now available for purchase is The Christmas Album, a new collection of both classic and original Christmas songs by Grammy- and Tony-Award winner Leslie Odom Jr. Other holiday albums also being sold now by Edible include:

  • Gwen Stefani’s You Make It Feel Like Christmas
  • Nat King Cole’s The Christmas Song
  • Now That’s What I Call a Merry Christmas – A compilation of holiday songs with classics like Bing Crosby’s “White Christmas” and Jose Feliciano’s “Feliz Navidad” plus modern takes on Christmas gems with Kelly Clarkson, Bruce Springsteen and Sam Smith.
  • “Edible® Songs for the Season” – A bespoke album created for Edible, with ten soulful holiday classic songs created with the help of Double-Platinum artists and Grammy Award-winning songwriters.

“To kick off the platform and our marketing partnership with Leslie Odom Jr., we are featuring his new song ‘Snow’ in our ‘Share the Sweetness’ holiday commercial, as well as selling his new album online,” said Laura Rueckel, Edible’s vice president of marketing. “Leslie’s new album is a great way to dive into the spirit of the holidays and incorporating that into our seasonal advertising efforts is the perfect way for us to emotionally connect with our customers this time of year. Edible Music will allow us to continue finding news way like this to better meet the needs of our customers to show their loved ones that they care about them.”

Edible’s holiday music albums are available for purchase for a limited time through Dec. 31, 2020. For more on Edible Music, visit the website.
