Jersey Mike’s Introduces New Grilled Portabella Mushroom and Swiss Sub

February 18, 2021 // Franchising.com // MANASQUAN, N.J. - Jersey Mike’s Subs is introducing the Grilled Portabella Mushroom and Swiss Sub at its more than 1,900 locations nationwide. The new sub features fresh grilled Portabella mushrooms, green peppers and onions with melted Swiss cheese.

“At Jersey Mike’s, quality is always a priority and our new Portabella Mushroom and Swiss Sub is grilled to order and made with fresh Portabella mushrooms, onions and peppers,” said Michael Manzo, COO, Jersey Mike’s Subs.

“It’s important to keep this fresh product locally grown, and it took time to organize mushroom growers across the country,” said Manzo. “The mushrooms are picked, transported and delivered to our stores within days of coming from the growers.”

Manzo said the new sub brings even more variety to the menu, offering customers a reason to dine at the restaurants more frequently.

According to the Mushroom Council, mushrooms are one of the most sustainably produced foods in the U.S. They also offer excellent nutrition benefits. Low in calories, and fat- and cholesterol-free, mushrooms support a healthy immune system with their micronutrients of Vitamin D, Vitamin B and selenium.

Jersey Mike’s guests can place takeout orders in-store or for pickup through the website or through the Jersey Mike’s app. Additionally, delivery is available in most areas through the Jersey Mike’s app or through third-party delivery partners. Curbside pickup is also available.
