Hammer & Nails Announces New Vice President of Franchise Development
Men’s Grooming Franchise Appoints Industry Veteran Jereme Shelton to Leadership Team
August 31, 2021 // Franchising.com // FOLSOM, Calif.- Hammer & Nails, the destination for men’s grooming experiences, is pleased to announce the newest addition to its executive team with the hiring of Jereme Shelton as Vice President of Franchise Development.
As VP of Franchise Development, Shelton’s role will be focused on building the Hammer & Nails brand via recruiting qualified external candidates while also helping existing franchisees build out their businesses, resulting in strong multi-unit deals. Shelton will be heavily involved in the evaluation of potential candidates, while also helping educate them on brand standards and best practices. Equally as critical, Shelton will also oversee the store growth strategy for franchise shops, real estate, design, construction, legal and compliance so every operator is set up for success.
“It’s a bit surreal to join a brand that I’ve been a customer of for years, but because of that, I’m confident in the Hammer & Nails brand and its incredible potential,” said Shelton. “I am thrilled to join this team and look forward to building relationships with this tight-knit group of franchisees, to ensure they are fully supported throughout as they grow their business. It is my goal to be part of the team that cuts the 100th Hammer & Nails opening ribbon – and it’s more than possible with this team.”
Prior to joining Hammer & Nails, Shelton was no stranger to the franchising industry. After following in his family’s footsteps of serving in the military, Shelton started his career in franchising over twelve years ago and has built an impressive resume of franchise development experience at a variety of franchise brands. Shelton first found out about Hammer & Nails when he became a customer – he is a loyal customer at the Folsom, CA location.
“With Jereme’s past franchise experience and firsthand knowledge of Hammer & Nails’ services, I knew immediately that he would gel with our team,” said Aaron Meyers, CEO, Hammer & Nails. “As we continue to grow our leadership team – and ultimately our brand – we’re looking for talented individuals who understand the Hammer & Nails mission. Jereme had that and more, coupled with years of franchise development experience. I anticipate his on-boarding will take us to a whole new level.”
Following the news of franchise expansion efforts, Hammer & Nails also announced four new signed franchise agreements in the Cleveland and Cincinnati areas. Over the last year, new shops have opened in Virginia and Ohio. An additional four locations are set to open by the end of the year with ten more locations planned opened by the end of Q2 2022.
