Reformer Pilates Concept Redefines “Happy Hour” in East Cobb

October 29, 2021 // Franchising.com // MARIETTA, GA - BODYBAR Pilates (BODYBAR), known for its use of core Pilates principles with a modern twist, will officially open to the public in East Cobb at 3460 Sandy Plains Road, Suite 120 on November 8.

The new BODYBAR location will be the second in Georgia and the first studio for local owner, Joe Stockman. Blending its focus on strength, toning and modern movement with a warm, welcoming, spa-like environment, BODYBAR creates an unmatched Pilates experience centered on fostering a destination where its community of members can come together daily to maintain sound mind, body and spirit.

“It may come as a surprise to some, but before meeting the BODYBAR corporate team I had never practiced Pilates,” said Joe Stockman, owner of BODYBAR Pilates in East Cobb. “But once I started to learn more about the brand, its values and the approach it takes to business management, I was sold. As a Cobb County local, I know that there isn’t another fitness concept like it, and I’m so looking forward to creating a community of people who love and support each other in East Cobb.”

With an extensive background in leadership, sales and business consulting, Stockman brings a progressive, results-driven mindset to his new studio. As a member of the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Cobb Class of 2020, past-president of the North Cobb Rotary Club, and chair for the Northwest Cobb Family YMCA Advisory Board, Stockman is dedicated to the betterment of his community. He hopes to further that commitment by introducing his neighbors to the BODYBAR workout and help them meet their fitness goals.

To celebrate the opening in East Cobb, the new studio is hosting various grand opening events throughout its Founder’s Week (Nov. 1- Nov. 6):

  • BODYBAR fans who have already secured a Founding Membership are invited to participate in free classes throughout the day on Monday, Nov. 1 and Tuesday, Nov. 2

  • From Wednesday, Nov. 3 through Saturday, Nov. 6, the studio will host free BODYBAR 101 classes that will break down the workout for first-timers or any interested community members.

Open Bar Event – Nov. 6 from 11 am to 1 pm

  • BODYBAR members and Cobb County residents are invited to tour the studio, enjoy refreshments and enter raffles during the final event of Founder’s Week.

Using core Pilates principles each 40 to 50-minute BODYBAR Pilates class is designed to provide a full-body workout that is high-intensity, low-impact and perfect for increasing flexibility, muscle strength, posture and boosting overall health. Whether a member is a 70-year-old wellness guru or a 25-year-old just getting started, the BODYBAR workout can be customized to meet everyone’s personal fitness goals.

“From the get-go, Joe has had an understanding of our purpose and what drives success at our studios,” said Matt McCollum, CEO of BODYBAR Pilates. “That understanding combined with his extensive background in business consulting make him well-positioned to hit the ground running in East Cobb.”

From single-use equipment that is disinfected between each workout, to appropriate spacing of the reformers and ample time between classes, BODYBAR’s steadfast commitment to the safety of its members and employees remains top priority. Furthermore, it recently launched its virtual platform, BODYBAR Live. Those who do not currently feel comfortable stepping into the studio can access pre-recorded classes on-demand. With the virtual class option and strategic number of reformers in-studio, BODYBAR franchise owners can maximize revenue and hold a competitive advantage over others in the Reformer Pilates space.
