Goldfish Swim School Rides Wave of Expansion, Dives into Danvers, MA

Husband-Wife Duo Grow Goldfish Swim School Empire to Four Schools Across Greater Boston Market

March 01, 2022 // Franchising.com // Danvers, MA - Goldfish Swim School recently opened its newest school in Danvers. Located at Liberty Tree Mall, 100 Independence Way Suite 137, the school provides swim lessons and water safety instruction to infants and children ages four months to 12 years.

Goldfish Swim School – Danvers is owned by Pete and Sarah Kepic who also own Goldfish Swim Schools in Burlington, Brookline and Needham, MA. The Kepics were first introduced to Goldfish and its impact after enrolling their two sons in lessons with the brand and watching them flourish. Seeking more entrepreneurial careers, the husband and a wife team decided to dive into the Goldfish franchise opportunity and opened their first school in Needham in 2015. Since then, they haven’t looked back and have been focused on growing their portfolio to give back the gift of water safety to more families across the greater Boston area and beyond.

“It’s a great feeling to know the work you do is truly impacting the community,” said Sarah. “With Goldfish, we’ve found an organization with a strong culture, solid systems, and a strong business model with a talented support team. We’re grateful to have the opportunity to spread the important message of water safety and help more children across the Danvers community be safer in and around the water.”

Families in the community now have access to the school’s renowned proprietary curriculum, The Science of SwimPlay®, which helps to build life skills both in and out of the water using play-based learning in a fun and safe environment. The 9,100 square-foot school features an 80 x 25 ft pool – kept at a comfortable 90 degrees – and a viewing room nearby for families.

“We’re thrilled the Kepics continue to grow the Goldfish Swim School family,” shared Chris McCuiston, who co-founded the franchise with his wife Jenny McCuiston. “As we continue to grow, it’s more important than ever that we partner with local community leaders who are just as passionate about water safety as we are. Jenny and I are confident that this team will help us continue to bring awareness to the drowning epidemic and ultimately get us one step closer to reducing the number of accidental drownings.”

The franchise industry has honored Goldfish with several recent award wins: ranking No. 53 and the top swim school franchise in Entrepreneur Magazine’s 2022 Franchise 500®, named a Top Franchise for 2021 by Franchise Business Review, earning a spot on the 2021 Inc. 5000 Midwest Regionals list, claiming a 2021 Breakout Retailer Award by Chain Store Age and making an appearance on the 2021 Franchise Times Top 400.
