Pinch A Penny is a pool supply store providing customers with pool chemicals, equipment, repair parts, and accessories. To determine the results for the Most Profitable Franchises, owners answered 33 benchmark questions about their experience in critical areas of their franchise systems, including training and support, operations, franchisor/franchisee relations, and financial opportunity.

To create the 100 Most Innovative Franchises list, Franchise Business Review asked owners how creative and innovative they think their corporate franchise team is, and if their leadership has a clearly defined vision for where the brand is headed. From that research, FBR selected franchise companies with the highest combined scores in innovation, leadership, and overall satisfaction.

Franchise Business Review's most innovative businesses are ranked by prioritizing innovation with services or processes that help sustain long-term growth. FBR took both profit margins and owner satisfaction into consideration to rank the most profitable franchises.
