Central Bark® Opens its Newest Doggy Day Care in Oakdale, MN

November 30, 2022 // Franchising.com // OAKDALE, MN - Central Bark® is wagging its tail proudly following the opening of its newest location in Oakdale, MN. Located just off Hwy 694 and Hwy 14, Central Bark Oakdale is owned and operated by Angie and Chris Holbrook. Pet parents are already lining up to enroll their dogs at Central Bark where dog care has been reimagined to provide the love and care needed to help them be healthy, happy, and well-rounded members of the family.

“Being around dogs all day sounded like the perfect way to combine our passion with a business,” said Angie Holbrook, co-owner of Central Bark Oakdale. “I spent the bulk of my professional life in commercial property management, but my love for dogs was a gravitational pull I just couldn’t ignore. We had taken our dog to a day care facility when we lived in St. Paul and there was something about the business that was always intriguing to me. We did our research and when we discovered Central Bark and their commitment to whole dog care and canine behavioral science, we were hooked. I knew we could care for and nurture dogs unlike anyone else in our market. I, and my husband Chris, are so proud to bring Central Bark to the residents of Oakdale and the surrounding communities of the east metro.”

Along with a staff of ten, Angie Holbrook will run day-to-day operations at Central Bark while Chris Holbrook will provide ongoing support as he continues his career in the wholesale building materials industry. Central Bark serves the east metro suburbs of Ramsey and Washington Counties, in and around Oakdale, Woodbury, Maplewood, North Saint Paul, and Lake Elmo.

For nearly 20 years, Central Bark has drawn in dogs and their owners across the country to experience its Enrichment Doggy Day Care, which combines Central Bark’s doggy day care expertise with the latest in canine behavior science. Enrichment Doggy Day Care provides a healthy and balanced blend of exercise, social group play, learning, rest, and “TLC” to help dogs be healthy, happy, calm, and well-rounded members of the family. Furthermore, Central Bark also offers dog boarding, baths, grooming, a retail market, training and more.

“There is something simple and beautiful about a well-adjusted dog that everyone can relate to and appreciate,” said Angie Holbrook. “We are thrilled to introduce Central Bark to our community neighbors, two and four-legged alike.”
