Pinch A Penny Opens New Store in Flower Mound, Texas

February 15, 2023 // Franchising.com // Flower Mound, TX - Pinch A Penny opened its newest store in Flower Mound, Texas on Friday, February 10. The new store is located in The Highlands of Flower Mound Shopping Center at 2221 Justin Road, Suite 107, Flower Mound, Texas 75028.

The Pinch A Penny Pool Patio Spa is owned by Highlands Village residents Corey and Brandy Current. The Currents and the franchise have been offering pool service to local customers since April 2022, and the storefront location will now be open to customers to shop for all their pool care and maintenance needs.

Corey Current was born in Mexia, Texas and has lived in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area for the last 25 years. Prior to coming to Pinch A Penny, he served as a general contractor, first in residential contracting before moving to commercial properties. He believes this background will be beneficial as he transitions into servicing pools.

"There isn’t another store in Flower Mound that offers the service and supplies that Pinch A Penny provides. There is a demand for pool products and maintenance, and we look forward to providing them with excellent care and service,” said Current.

Brandy Current graduated from The Colony High School in the nearby town of The Colony, Texas. She has worked at a local law firm for the past 17 years and will handle most of the store’s bookkeeping on weekends. The couple will have two of their children working at the store on a full-time basis.

In addition to pool supply retail, Pinch A Penny offers ongoing pool service and maintenance, water testing, equipment repair services, pool resurfacing, and more.

“Corey and Brandy will operate a true family-operated business with a connection to the community. Corey’s experience in general contracting and sales, along with his customer service skills, will be a perfect fit for our new store in Flower Mound,” said Jim Eisch, President & CEO of Pinch A Penny.
