Walk-On’s Celebrates Garden City Debut with Grand Opening

Award-winning sports bistreaux to host ribbon-cutting ceremony on Oct. 2

September 26, 2023 // Franchising.com // GARDEN CITY, Kan. - Kansas sports fans will soon have another Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux® to cheer on their favorite teams when the award-winning restaurant opens its doors on Oct. 2.

Located at 1220 McCoy Drive in the Garden City Legacy Crossing Development, the new Walk-On’s becomes the second in Kansas for the award-winning brand, joining the Wichita location. With its scratch-made burgers, premium seafood, extensive bar menu and wall-to-wall TVs, Walk-On’s will be the perfect place to cheer on all the college football action this fall.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will kick things off at 10 a.m. on opening day, hosted by Walk-On’s executive team members and its Garden City franchise partners. And to add to the excitement, one of the first 100 guests in line will have a chance to win FREE Walk-On’s for a year, with the winner selected at random and announced later in the day.

“With Walk-On’s passion for crafting delicious, Louisiana-inspired food and creating a family-friendly game-day atmosphere, we’re confident in providing guests with an outstanding game-day experience – no matter the sport,” said Operating Partner Amro Samy. “With this new opening, the community will be able to experience the thrill of watching their favorite teams on TV every which way while enjoying a wide array of our delicious dishes.”

Once open, the new Walk-On’s in Garden City will serve guests Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and from 11 a.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday.

At Walk-On’s, each dish is made from scratch, using fresh ingredients to put its unique spin on traditional Cajun and Americana cuisine and bring a taste of Louisiana to every dish. The diverse menu features unique twists on game-day staples and upscale takes on Louisiana mainstays, such as Crawfish Etouffee and Chicken & Sausage Gumbo.
