Jersey Mike’s Subs Announces Partnership With Illumination’s New Animated Comedy, Migration

November 21, 2023 // Franchising.com // In time for the holiday season, Jersey Mike’s Subs is partnering with Illumination on the release of its upcoming action-packed new original comedy, Migration, arriving in theaters on Dec. 22. The legendary Emmy winner and Oscar® nominee Danny DeVito, a familiar face in recent Jersey Mike’s commercials, stars in the film as the curmudgeonly, sub-loving, adventure-averse Uncle Dan of the Mallard family.

To celebrate the film’s opening, Jersey Mike’s worked with the Illumination team to create a fun commercial, “Bread Worth Snatching,” featuring Uncle Dan, who is determined to get his wings on a Jersey Mike’s sub sandwich. In a surprise twist, Uncle Dan interacts with real-life Danny DeVito at the end of the 30-second spot.
