Hooters of America Renews Commitment to Supporting Veterans Through Ongoing Partnership with Legacies Alive

December 04, 2023 // Franchising.com // ATLANTA - Hooters Community Endowment Fund (HOOCEF) today reaffirmed its dedication to honoring veterans and their families through its partnership with Legacies Alive, an organization devoted to preserving memories of fallen veterans. The two-year partnership including a cash donation of $10,000, builds on Hooters’ history of philanthropy and support of the armed forces.

As part of this continued collaboration, Hooters will also contribute to Army Navy Weekend in Boston by hosting Gold Star Families at Hooters of Dedham, located just minutes from Gillette Stadium. During this event on the Thursday before the commemorative weekend, the Hooters Dedham restaurant location will host families gathered for the historic first Army Navy Game to take place in New England. Hooters will also provide lunch for the Legacies Alive volunteers on Friday in preparation for the big game.

“We are so touched by the generosity of the Hooters team and cannot thank them enough for their continued support,” said Legacies Executive Director John Dudo.

The Hooters Community Endowment Fund is a nonprofit foundation that raises money for important local and national charities like the Make-A-Wish Foundation, U.S.O., Special Olympics, American Diabetes Association, Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

“We are grateful to continue our sponsorship with Legacies Alive,” said Hooters Chief Marketing Officer Bruce Skala. “This partnership allows us to contribute to the important cause of honoring the sacrifices made by our service men and women and ensuring their families know how much we respect what they’ve done to protect us all.”
