The Big Biscuit® Announces the Joplin, Missouri, Restaurant Scheduled to Open on February 15, 2024

February 14, 2024 // Franchising.com // PRAIRIE VILLAGE , KS - The Big Biscuit® President Chad Offerdahl today announced that the Breakfast and Lunch brand will open the much-anticipated Joplin restaurant on Thursday, February 15, 2024. Guests will find The Big Biscuit’s signature menu, including oversized buttermilk biscuits and gravy, omelets, and griddled classics like pancakes, French toast, and various egg Benedicts. Lunch menu items include half-pound fresh beef burgers, 24-hour brined fried chicken, salads, and more.

Open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and closed only on Thanksgiving and Christmas, the Joplin Big Biscuit is located at 2401 East 32nd St.

“The Big Biscuit is thrilled to open the Joplin location, and we look forward to serving the community,” said second-generation restaurateur Offerdahl. “Whether someone is looking for a hearty breakfast, a creative lunch option, or a morning or lunch meeting spot, they will find it here, along with our friendly Big Biscuit team eager to deliver authentic, hometown hospitality.”

The community is welcome to attend a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9 a.m. on Thursday, followed by coffee and The Big Biscuit’s signature Sticky Biscuits.

Features of the Joplin Big Biscuit include a cozy breakfast counter with TVs, a community table, flexible seating to accommodate parties of all sizes, a private meeting room that seats 36, a private back patio that seats 48 with heaters for cooler days, historical photos reflecting Joplin’s rich history, a merchandise shelf with logoed t-shirts, hats, and mugs available for purchase, a convenient to-go order station, and more.

The Big Biscuit has top-quality comfort food freshly prepared with a twist, like the Bonut, a buttermilk biscuit dipped in French toast batter and fried to perfection. Tossed in powdered sugar, The Big Biscuit’s alternative to the donut is available with add-on specialty toppings. The Big Scram-Bowl is a modern interpretation of a traditional omelet with eggs, ham, mushrooms, and cheddar. The Alamo is an overstuffed breakfast burrito with eggs, bacon, sausage, breakfast potatoes, jalapeno peppers, and a chipotle cream sauce smothered with jack and cheddar cheese and salsa. All dishes are served in generous portions in a welcoming, family-friendly, and inclusive atmosphere.
