Goldfish Swim School Franchisee Awarded Franchisee of the Year by the International Franchise Association
February 29, 2024 // Franchising.com // TROY, Mich. - The International Franchise Association (IFA) has recognized Goldfish Swim School Franchising, LLC franchisee Jeffrey and Larisa Posner with its annual Franchisee of the Year Award at the 65th IFA Annual Convention, held Feb. 17-20 in Phoenix.
The Franchisee of the Year Award recognizes leading franchise owners from IFA member brands whose outstanding performance and contributions help protect, enhance and promote the franchise business model.
Nominated by Goldfish Swim School Franchising, the Posners were selected for their involvement in their communities, embodying the entrepreneurial spirit, fostering a workforce that establishes a strong and healthy culture and assisting their fellow franchisees when called upon.
“We nominated Jeffrey and Larisa for IFA recognition as they have been exemplary Goldfish Swim School franchisees, allowing our brand to carry on our mission to help educate children to be safer in and around the water,” said Chris McCuiston, CEO and co-founder of Goldfish Swim School. “Their schools continue to achieve extraordinary results, which is why their Livingston location was awarded “School of the Year” last year and we are proud that they live out our Goldfish Swim School Core Values each and every day.”
The Posners, who worked successful careers on Wall Street before becoming Goldfish Swim School franchisees, opened their first of two New Jersey swim schools in 2017 in Livingston and soon after opened another location in Springfield in 2021. At each school, they have a focus on comprehensive training and team development and have gone above and beyond to develop their own internal evaluation system, ensuring their team consistently surpasses expectations during safety audits.
“As parents of three children, my wife and I ventured into franchising with Goldfish Swim School to ensure that our local communities receive swim lessons and water safety instruction skills to stay safe in and around the water, thanks to the Goldfish curriculum,” said Jeffrey Posner. “Throughout the last seven years, we’ve enjoyed exploring new and innovative ways to distinguish ourselves within our system, offering support to fellow franchisees while also fostering the growth of our team members to help them continue to grow in new ways.”
Goldfish Swim School provides swim lessons and water safety instruction to infants and children aged four months to 12 years, teaching children how to be safer in and around the water. Each school offers swim lessons and programs using a proprietary philosophy, The Science of SwimPlay®, to build life skills both in and out of the water using play-based learning in a fun and safe environment. Each school’s number one focus and main priority is always the same – educating children on water safety while teaching them how to swim and respect the water.
