Golden Chick Expands with First-Ever Walmart Location

DFW-based Golden Chick has brought its second restaurant to the city of Midland in a whole new way–within your own local Walmart! The new location can be found inside the Walmart at 200 Interstate 20, off the frontage road, near Midland Freshman High School.

The new location will be owned and operated by John Anderson and is the fourth in his portfolio alongside a current restaurant in Big Spring and two restaurants in Odessa. This will be the first time Golden Chick has opened a restaurant within a Walmart store, differing from its typical brick-and-mortar and C-store locations. This strategic partnership creates a unique opportunity for the brand to interact with its guests while also working to increase third-party delivery and pickup.

“We are incredibly excited to kick off this new venture with John,” said Mark Parmerlee, CEO of Golden Chick. “The city of Midland and Walmart are allowing us to try something new in terms of how we reach potential guests.”

Guests are welcome to stop by starting today to try both new and classic Golden Chick offerings from long-time fan-favorites like Golden Tenders® and the Big & Golden® Chicken Sandwich to its more unique offerings like its succulent, hand-seasoned Golden Roast Chicken. The new restaurant will also be serving up breakfast daily from 7–10:30 a.m. with satiating options like a sweet and savory Honey Butter Tender Roll and the Farmerito, stuffed with sausage, bacon, crispy chicken, fried hash browns, egg, cheese and Lotta Zing® sauce. For lunch or dinner options, Golden Chick will feature its new Lemon Pepper Wings and special Churros for Charity, with 50 cents from every order of the perfectly crispy dessert going to support local schools surrounding each Golden Chick location now through December 31.
