Goldfish Swim School Signs Lease Agreement in Tacoma, Washington
April 30, 2025 // Franchising.com // TACOMA, Wash. – Goldfish Swim School Franchising, LLC announced today that franchisee group, H&H Swim School Tacoma LLC, led by husband-and-wife Corri and Mitch Hastings and John Higgins, has signed a lease agreement to open a Goldfish Swim School in Tacoma, Washington.
This will be the second Goldfish Swim School location for the franchise group, who own and operate the location in Puyallup as well. Higgins also owns and operates another Goldfish Swim School in North Attleboro, Massachusetts. The group’s new Tacoma school is scheduled to open in winter 2025, bringing about 50 new jobs to the area. Employment opportunities will be available in the coming months.
The Tacoma location will feature a state-of-the-art, shiver-free 90-degree pool, a viewing area for parents, and a tropical-themed facility designed to provide a comfortable and enjoyable experience for both kids and parents alike. With Goldfish Swim School’s unique curriculum and small class sizes, children will be able to develop essential swim skills, build confidence, and have fun in the water.
“When my husband and I joined Goldfish three years ago, we knew our school would provide a positive impact for families in our local community and cannot wait to expand this into the Tacoma market,” said Goldfish Swim School franchisee Corri Hastings. “We are committed to Goldfish Swim School’s unique approach to teaching life-saving water safety skills and look forward to helping even more children build confidence in the water.”
Goldfish Swim School provides swim lessons and water safety instruction to infants and children aged four months to 12 years, teaching children how to be safer in and around the water. Each school offers swim lessons and programs using a proprietary philosophy, The Science of SwimPlay®, to build life skills both in and out of the water using play-based learning in a fun and safe environment. Each school’s number one focus and main priority is always the same – educating children on water safety while teaching them how to swim and respect the water.
“Corri, Mitch, and John are the perfect franchise owners to bring Goldfish Swim School to Tacoma, thanks to their passion for kids and commitment to water safety,” said Chris McCuiston, CEO and co-founder of Goldfish Swim School. “Last year, Corri led Goldfish Swim School – Puyallup to earn ‘Rookie of the Year’ for making the biggest splash in her community, and we’re excited to see her bring that same energy and impact to Tacoma.”
