PJ’s Coffee Steeps Southern Hospitality With Grand Opening in Ocean Springs

December 05, 2025 // Franchising.com // OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. – The spirit of the Crescent City arrives in Ocean Springs as PJ’s Coffee celebrates its grand opening, inviting locals to experience its hand-crafted drinks, small-batch roasted coffee and signature French Quarter charm on Dec. 12.

Festivities kick off with an 11 a.m. ribbon-cutting with the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce and city officials, but the giveaways start even earlier — guests can grab a free 12-ounce hot or iced coffee from 7-10 a.m., then snack on complimentary pastries and beignet bite samples until noon. Everyone who stops by can also enter to win Free Coffee for a Year beginning Monday, Dec. 8, through Friday, Dec. 12, through 6 p.m.

Following years of running the beloved Luv 2 Play in New Orleans, Mark and Melissa Mayne are now channeling that same passion into creating a welcoming space that serves up community, culture and the best coffee around with their own PJ’s Coffee location.

“After being longtime customers of PJ’s Coffee, we knew the product quality and brand loyalty were unmatched,” said Mark Mayne, co-owner of PJ’s Coffee Ocean Springs. “We can’t wait to have a warm and welcoming café where friends and family can gather to connect over a cup of coffee. We know bringing our NOLA favorite to the Gulf Coast will be a hit!”

Located just three blocks east of Washington on 90, this lively hub features a drive-thru, as well as indoor and outdoor seating. This setup is ideal for those who want to grab coffee on the go and for guests who prefer to relax with a morning treat. Guests can expect all of PJ’s house favorites from the original Cold Brew and iconic Café Au Lait to the freshly made, fan-favorite beignets.
