Salata Opens First Florida Restaurant in Nocatee

April 07, 2026 // Franchising.com // NOCATEE, Fla. – A fresh, new dining experience is arriving in Nocatee.

Salata, the build-your-own salad and wrap concept that allows guests to create meals that fit their lifestyle, is being introduced at Nocatee Town Center on April 6.

Bringing the concept to the community are local franchise owners Jason and Sandy O’Hara, a husband-and-wife team with deep restaurant experience and strong ties to the Jacksonville area. The opening marks both their first Salata restaurant and the brand’s return to the Florida market.

To celebrate, 25% of all proceeds on opening day will be donated to HUGS St. Johns, a local nonprofit dedicated to supporting children by providing emergency clothing, food, school supplies, and essential resources to families facing hardship.

Guests who visit on opening day can look forward to:

  • An exclusive Salata Swag Box for the first guest in line
  • BOGO salad or wrap coupon, available while supplies last
  • Sign up for the Salata Tastemaker app and favorite the Nocatee location to receive $7 off on a future visit

“Opening our first Salata restaurant here in Nocatee is incredibly meaningful for our family,” said Jason O’Hara. “Jacksonville is where our journey together began years ago, and coming back to this community to introduce a concept we truly believe in feels full circle. We’re proud to bring something fresh to the area and look forward to welcoming guests into a space that reflects the healthy, active lifestyle that drew us back here.”

The Nocatee restaurant will offer Salata’s signature build-your-own menu, featuring a wide selection of fresh produce, lean proteins, and unique, made-from-scratch dressings prepared daily. Guests can choose from six salad bases, over 50 toppings, and 11 house-made proprietary dressings to create their ideal meal. In addition to salads and wraps, the menu includes soups, organic teas, and fresh lemonades. Salata also offers online ordering, delivery, catering, and rewards for loyal customers through the Tastemaker Rewards program.

“Florida has long been a key market for Salata, and opening our first restaurant in Nocatee is a meaningful milestone for the brand,” said Berge Simonian, Founder & CEO of Salata. “This community reflects the active, social lifestyle Salata was built for, and we’re proud to introduce our build-your-own concept to guests here as we continue expanding into new markets.”

Houston-based Salata offers fresh salads and wraps alongside soups, teas, and lemonades. With more than 50 toppings and house-made dressings prepared daily, the brand has built a loyal following by delivering simple, feel-good meals for any lifestyle. The Nocatee location will be open Monday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
