The Big Biscuit Expands Presence with Second Location in Wichita

June 02, 2026 // Franchising.com // WICHITA, Kan. – The Big Biscuit announced the second Wichita restaurant opening today. The restaurant will be hosting a grand opening event for the community at a later date.

The corporate-owned restaurant will be managed and operated locally, with additional support from President and CEO Chad Offerdahl and VP of Operations Scott Jayne. This marks the second location to open as part of a four-unit corporate agreement in the Wichita metro area. Two more corporate-owned locations are slated to open later this year, one in Northeast Wichita and one in Derby, Kansas.

Offerdahl was introduced to The Big Biscuit at its original location in Independence, Missouri, during a visit with his father, David Offerdahl, Partner for the brand. From that experience, they pursued the concept, and in 2010 they purchased it, bringing with them extensive experience in franchising and restaurant operations. Since then, they have remained committed to developing teams and systems to scale. The Big Biscuit, through both organic growth and franchising, intends to serve guests and communities with breakfast and lunch offerings.

The Big Biscuit opened its first franchise location in 2020. The brand has a presence across multiple states.
